## About the Role

Neo4j is seeking a detail-oriented, service-minded, and experienced **Senior HR Operations Generalist** to join its People Operations team and support employees across the AMER and APAC regions. This role is responsible for helping ensure HR operations run smoothly, accurately, and efficiently throughout the employee lifecycle.

The Senior HR Operations Generalist will own and execute core people operations processes, maintain accurate employee data, manage HR reporting, support HR systems and workflows, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver a reliable employee experience. This role is ideal for someone who understands the importance of operational accuracy, process consistency, employee support, compliance, and continuous improvement in a global people function.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, responsive, discreet, and comfortable working across regions, time zones, systems, and stakeholder groups. They should be able to manage day-to-day HR operations while also identifying opportunities to improve processes, documentation, reporting, and employee service delivery.

## Key Responsibilities

* Own and execute core HR operations processes across the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, employee changes, transfers, promotions, offboarding, and related employee data updates.
* Support employees and managers across AMER and APAC by responding to HR operations questions, requests, and process needs.
* Maintain accurate employee records and data within HR systems, ensuring information is complete, current, and handled confidentially.
* Process employee lifecycle changes, including job changes, compensation updates, reporting line changes, location updates, employment status changes, and termination records.
* Manage HR reporting, data audits, employee data requests, and recurring people operations reports.
* Partner with People Operations, HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, Payroll, Benefits, Finance, Legal, IT, and regional teams to support day-to-day HR activities.
* Coordinate onboarding and offboarding workflows to ensure a smooth and consistent employee experience.
* Support HR systems administration, data entry, workflow updates, and process troubleshooting.
* Ensure HR processes are completed accurately, on time, and in accordance with company policies, regional requirements, and internal controls.
* Assist with documentation related to employment changes, employee letters, policy acknowledgments, compliance requirements, and HR process records.
* Conduct regular data quality checks and help resolve discrepancies in employee records, reporting, and systems.
* Support payroll, benefits, and finance teams by providing accurate employee data and timely updates.
* Help maintain HR process documentation, employee guides, templates, standard operating procedures, and knowledge base content.
* Identify opportunities to improve HR workflows, reduce manual work, increase consistency, and strengthen employee support.
* Support regional HR compliance activities, audits, reporting requests, and documentation needs.
* Handle confidential employee information with discretion, professionalism, and sound judgment.
* Contribute to People Operations projects, system improvements, process launches, and employee experience initiatives.

## Required Qualifications

* Experience in HR operations, people operations, HR generalist work, employee lifecycle administration, or a related HR function.
* Strong understanding of HR processes, employee data management, onboarding, offboarding, employee changes, and HR documentation.
* Experience maintaining employee records in HR systems with a high level of accuracy and confidentiality.
* Strong reporting, data review, and process management skills.
* Ability to support employees and managers professionally across multiple regions or business groups.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and recurring HR processes in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong judgment and ability to handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately.
* Experience collaborating with Payroll, Benefits, Finance, Legal, IT, Talent Acquisition, and HR Business Partner teams.
* Comfortable working across time zones and supporting a distributed or global employee population.
* Proficiency with HR systems, spreadsheets, collaboration tools, and employee data reporting.

## Preferred Qualifications

* Experience supporting employees across AMER and APAC regions.
* Experience working in a global technology, SaaS, software, or high-growth company environment.
* Familiarity with HRIS platforms such as Workday, BambooHR, HiBob, UKG, ADP, SuccessFactors, Rippling, Greenhouse, Lever, or similar systems.
* Experience creating HR dashboards, headcount reports, employee data audits, or operational metrics.
* Familiarity with regional employment practices, compliance considerations, employee documentation, and HR operations requirements.
* Experience supporting payroll inputs, benefits administration, immigration documentation, or regional employment letters.
* Experience improving HR processes, documenting workflows, automating manual tasks, or supporting HR systems projects.
* HR certification such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR, or regional equivalent is a plus.

## Work Environment

This role is part of Neo4j’s People Operations team and will involve regular collaboration with employees, managers, HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, Payroll, Benefits, Finance, Legal, IT, and regional stakeholders. The Senior HR Operations Generalist should be comfortable working in a global environment with teams across multiple time zones.

The position requires strong self-direction, organization, follow-through, and the ability to manage sensitive employee information responsibly. The successful candidate should be able to work effectively in a fast-moving environment while maintaining accuracy, professionalism, and a strong employee-service mindset.
