## Key Responsibilities

* Manage patient flow throughout the practice to help ensure timely, efficient, and organized care delivery.
* Assess patient needs, gather clinical information, review symptoms, and communicate concerns to providers as appropriate.
* Take, review, and document vital signs, medical history, medication information, allergies, and patient concerns.
* Instruct patients and families regarding medications, treatment instructions, follow-up care, diagnostic testing, and provider recommendations.
* Administer medications, injections, immunizations, and treatments in accordance with provider orders, nursing standards, and practice policies.
* Maintain accurate and complete patient records in the electronic medical record system.
* Document patient encounters, telephone communications, medication administration, care instructions, test results, and clinical follow-up accurately and promptly.
* Handle incoming patient calls, clinical questions, medication requests, refill requests, and care-related concerns.
* Triage calls and patient needs according to clinical protocols, urgency, and provider direction.
* Coordinate referrals, laboratory testing, diagnostic orders, prescription processing, and follow-up communication as needed.
* Support chronic disease management, preventive care, wellness visits, medication adherence, and patient education.
* Communicate effectively with patients, families, providers, pharmacies, laboratories, specialists, and other healthcare partners.
* Help maintain exam rooms, clinical supplies, medications, equipment, and a clean, safe patient care environment.
* Follow all clinical policies, infection-control procedures, medication safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
* Protect patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and organizational privacy standards.
* Participate in quality improvement, patient safety, care coordination, and practice workflow initiatives.

## Required Qualifications
* Current Registered Nurse license in the state of Georgia, or eligibility to practice in Georgia.
* Nursing education from an accredited nursing program.
* Clinical nursing experience in a healthcare setting.
* Strong understanding of nursing assessment, medication administration, patient education, documentation, and clinical care coordination.
* Ability to work effectively in a physician practice, clinic, outpatient, or ambulatory care environment.
* Strong communication skills and ability to interact professionally with patients, families, providers, and team members.

* Comfortable using electronic medical records, clinical documentation systems, and office technology.

## Preferred Qualifications
* Prior experience in internal medicine, primary care, family medicine, ambulatory care, physician practice, or outpatient clinic nursing.
* Experience with telephone triage, medication refills, patient education, chronic disease management, or care coordination.
* Familiarity with HCA Healthcare systems, outpatient practice workflows, or electronic medical record platforms.
* Basic Life Support certification.
* Experience working with adult and geriatric patient populations.
* Strong knowledge of common internal medicine conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, asthma, COPD, heart disease, thyroid disorders, and preventive care needs.
* Ability to support a busy practice with multiple providers and high patient volume.
