## About the Role
NinjaTrader Live is seeking a talented, hands-on, and leadership-oriented **Art Director** with a specialty in video and motion graphics. This role will help shape the visual identity of NinjaTrader Live and elevate the creative quality of livestreams, social video clips, lower-thirds, broadcast graphics, promotional content, email creative, digital campaigns, and experiential touchpoints.
The Art Director will own visual direction from concept through execution, bringing strong design judgment, motion sensibility, video storytelling, and brand consistency to a fast-moving creative environment. This position requires someone who can both lead and make: setting creative standards, directing video and motion work, guiding designers, and contributing directly to polished creative output.
The ideal candidate has a strong eye for modern visual systems, broadcast-style design, motion graphics, video editing, social content, and brand storytelling. They should be comfortable collaborating with marketing, production, content, social, product, and leadership teams while managing multiple projects and maintaining a high creative standard.
## Key Responsibilities
* Own and evolve the visual direction for NinjaTrader Live and related creative initiatives.
* Define and maintain video, motion graphics, and broadcast design systems across livestreams, social clips, promotional content, and digital channels.
* Create and direct visual assets for livestreams, including lower-thirds, intro and outro sequences, transitions, title cards, overlays, countdown screens, animated graphics, and branded broadcast elements.
* Lead creative development from concept through execution, ensuring work is visually polished, strategically aligned, and brand-consistent.
* Direct video editing, motion graphics, animation, layout, pacing, typography, color, and visual storytelling across video deliverables.
* Raise the overall visual standard of NinjaTrader Live content across live programming, social platforms, email, paid media, and experiential touchpoints.
* Supervise, direct, and mentor a Senior Graphic Designer, providing creative guidance, feedback, and support on project execution.
* Collaborate with producers, editors, marketers, social media teams, content leads, and business stakeholders to develop engaging creative assets.
* Translate creative briefs, campaign goals, audience needs, and brand direction into strong visual concepts and finished executions.
* Design and oversee promotional creative for campaigns, livestream programming, product moments, social media, digital ads, emails, event materials, and branded experiences.
* Create scalable templates, motion systems, design guidelines, and reusable assets that improve consistency and speed across creative production.
* Review creative work for quality, accuracy, brand alignment, technical specifications, and platform readiness.
* Manage multiple projects simultaneously while balancing deadlines, stakeholder feedback, production needs, and creative priorities.
* Present creative concepts, visual systems, and design recommendations clearly to internal teams and leadership.
* Stay current with trends in motion design, livestream production, social video, broadcast graphics, trading content, digital media, and creative technology.
* Help build a disciplined, high-quality creative process that supports speed, consistency, and strong visual execution.
## Required Qualifications
* Experience as an art director, senior designer, motion designer, video creative lead, or similar creative role.
* Strong portfolio demonstrating video, motion graphics, digital design, brand systems, and polished visual execution.
* Experience creating or directing video and motion graphics for livestreams, social media, digital campaigns, broadcast-style content, or branded video.
* Strong understanding of typography, composition, color, pacing, visual hierarchy, motion principles, and brand consistency.
* Hands-on ability with creative tools such as Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator, Figma, or similar platforms.
* Ability to develop visual systems, templates, motion packages, and scalable design standards.
* Experience directing video edits, motion graphics, lower-thirds, social clips, promotional assets, and digital creative.
* Strong creative leadership skills and ability to provide useful feedback to designers, editors, and creative collaborators.
* Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to explain creative decisions clearly.
* High attention to detail and commitment to producing polished, accurate, and platform-ready work.
* Ability to balance creative ambition with production realities, timelines, and business goals.
## Preferred Qualifications
* Experience in financial services, trading, fintech, investing, business media, livestreaming, broadcast media, sports media, news, gaming, or technology.
* Experience building creative systems for recurring video programming, livestream shows, or content series.
* Familiarity with social platform best practices for YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, X, and paid media.
* Experience with live production workflows, broadcast packages, streaming overlays, video templates, and post-production pipelines.
* Experience supervising designers, motion designers, editors, or creative production staff.
* Familiarity with Cinema 4D, Blender, DaVinci Resolve, Frame.io, OBS, or other video and motion production tools.
* Experience creating creative for email campaigns, landing pages, event environments, digital ads, and experiential brand moments.
* Understanding of audience engagement, content packaging, thumbnails, short-form video, and performance-driven creative.
* Experience working in a fast-paced in-house creative team, agency, media company, or content-driven brand environment.
## Ideal Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is a highly visual creative leader who can make NinjaTrader Live content feel polished, recognizable, and engaging across every touchpoint. This person understands how to create a cohesive visual language for video, motion, livestreams, and social content while also knowing how to move quickly in a production-driven environment.
They should be both strategic and hands-on. The right candidate can define the look of a brand experience, direct a designer, provide feedback on an edit, build a motion template, improve a lower-third system, and present a creative direction with confidence.
This person should have strong taste, technical fluency, and a practical understanding of how creative assets are produced and used. They should enjoy setting standards, improving systems, mentoring creative talent, and delivering work that is visually strong, consistent, and useful for the business.
## Work Environment
This role will involve close collaboration with creative, marketing, content, production, social, and leadership teams. The Art Director should be comfortable working in a fast-moving environment where livestream schedules, campaign needs, social content, and promotional priorities may shift quickly.
The position may require managing multiple creative deliverables at once, reviewing work in progress, responding to feedback, and ensuring final assets are prepared correctly for each platform. The successful candidate should be organized, proactive, collaborative, and committed to maintaining a high creative standard.
