## About the Role
BLUE is seeking a motivated, organized, and detail-oriented Field Selling Assistant to support the Regional Grocery & Wholesale sales team, with a primary focus on the Albertsons business. This role plays an important part in keeping sales development activities, customer processes, sales records, communications, and internal systems accurate, organized, and moving forward.
The Field Selling Assistant will support day-to-day sales operations in a fast-paced Regional Grocery Business environment. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with data, coordinating details, supporting customer-facing teams, and helping improve internal processes. The role provides valuable exposure to the broader BLUE Omni Grocery team and offers an opportunity to learn how grocery sales, wholesale relationships, promotion planning, and new item setup processes are managed.
The successful candidate will be dependable, responsive, collaborative, and comfortable managing multiple priorities while supporting both internal team members and customer-related processes.
## Key Responsibilities
### Sales Team Support
* Support the BLUE Regional Grocery & Wholesale sales team with administrative, operational, and sales coordination activities.
* Assist the Albertsons sales team with day-to-day sales support, customer processes, and internal follow-up.
* Help keep customer records, promotional information, sales documentation, and account details accurate and up to date.
* Coordinate information between sales team members, internal departments, customers, and business partners.
* Support sales development activities by organizing information, tracking action items, and assisting with timely completion of customer requirements.
* Help the team stay prepared for customer meetings, business reviews, promotional planning discussions, and internal updates.
### Promotion Planning & Customer Processes
* Manage and support customer processes related to promotion planning, promotional calendars, merchandising programs, and sales events.
* Assist with gathering, organizing, and entering promotional information into customer systems and internal tools.
* Track key deadlines related to promotions, new item launches, customer submissions, and sales planning activities.
* Help ensure promotional plans are accurate, complete, and submitted on time.
* Follow up with internal team members to collect missing information, confirm details, and resolve process gaps.
* Support communication around promotion changes, customer requests, item updates, and sales execution needs.
### New Item Setup & Product Information
* Assist with new item setup processes for grocery and wholesale customers.
* Collect, organize, and enter required item information into customer portals, internal systems, and sales tools.
* Help verify product details, pricing information, images, descriptions, UPCs, case pack details, and other required setup data.
* Coordinate with internal teams to obtain accurate information for new item forms, customer submissions, and related documentation.
* Track the status of new item submissions and help ensure setup milestones are completed in a timely manner.
* Maintain organized records of item setup activity and customer-specific requirements.
### Data Entry, Records & System Maintenance
* Perform accurate data entry in internal systems, customer portals, spreadsheets, and shared sales tools.
* Maintain sales records, customer files, promotional trackers, item setup documents, and account information.
* Assist with system updates related to pricing, promotions, customer forms, product information, and sales activity.
* Review data for accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
* Identify and correct errors or inconsistencies in sales records and customer-facing documentation.
* Help improve the organization, reliability, and accessibility of sales information for the team.
### Communication & Coordination
* Support clear and timely communication between sales team members, customers, brokers, internal departments, and cross-functional partners.
* Assist with preparing meeting materials, notes, recaps, follow-up items, and status updates.
* Provide ad-hoc support for customer meetings, internal sales meetings, business reviews, and planning sessions.
* Help track meeting action items and ensure follow-up tasks are completed.
* Respond professionally to internal requests and help route questions to the appropriate team members.
* Maintain a high level of professionalism in written and verbal communication.
### Process Improvement & Team Collaboration
* Collaborate with peers across the BLUE Omni Grocery team to identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce duplication, and increase efficiency.
* Recommend improvements to trackers, templates, documentation, workflows, and communication processes.
* Help standardize common sales support activities where appropriate.
* Share best practices with teammates and contribute to a collaborative, service-focused team culture.
* Support special projects and ad-hoc assignments as business needs arise.
* Assist with onboarding, documentation, or knowledge-sharing efforts related to recurring customer processes.
## Qualifications
* High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Supply Chain, or a related field preferred.
* Prior experience in sales support, administrative support, customer service, grocery, retail, wholesale, consumer packaged goods, or account coordination preferred.
* Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and requests in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
* Comfortable working with spreadsheets, databases, customer portals, and internal business systems.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.

## Preferred Experience
* Experience supporting a grocery, wholesale, retail, or consumer products sales team.
* Familiarity with Albertsons, regional grocery accounts, customer portals, or retail item setup processes.
* Experience working with promotion planning, merchandising calendars, new item setup, pricing forms, or customer submissions.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, and shared document platforms.
* Experience maintaining sales trackers, customer records, or product information databases.
* Exposure to CPG, food, beverage, pet, grocery, or retail sales environments.
