Description

We are seeking a knowledgeable, organized, and engaging Nursing Instructor to support clinical education, training, onboarding, and professional development initiatives in a fully remote environment. This role is ideal for a registered nurse who enjoys teaching, developing practical learning materials, and helping nurses and clinical staff strengthen their skills, confidence, and performance.

The Nursing Instructor will help develop and deliver education for nurses, clinical staff, and healthcare professionals. Training topics may include new hire orientation, continuing education, competency support, documentation practices, policy updates, quality improvement, patient care standards, and organizational procedures.

This position is well suited for a nursing professional with strong clinical knowledge, clear communication skills, and an interest in education. Prior experience as a nurse educator, instructor, preceptor, trainer, mentor, charge nurse, clinical lead, or staff development resource is preferred.

Key Responsibilities
Develop, update, and deliver nursing education materials, training guides, presentations, and clinical learning resources.
Support onboarding, orientation, continuing education, competency review, and professional development programs.
Provide remote instruction using virtual learning platforms, video meetings, presentations, and online training tools.
Create clear, practical, and engaging educational content for nurses, clinical staff, and healthcare professionals.
Teach topics related to clinical workflows, patient care standards, documentation, compliance, quality improvement, and organizational procedures.
Evaluate learner progress through assessments, feedback, participation, competency checks, and training outcomes.
Collaborate with clinical leadership, quality teams, compliance staff, operations teams, and subject matter experts to identify training needs.
Help improve education programs based on learner feedback, policy changes, regulatory updates, and organizational goals.
Maintain accurate training records, education materials, attendance documentation, and competency tracking as needed.
Support staff confidence, consistency, and performance through approachable, well-organized instruction.
Qualifications
Active RN license required.
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required.
Strong clinical nursing knowledge and understanding of patient care standards.
Experience in nursing education, staff training, precepting, mentoring, clinical leadership, or professional development preferred.
Ability to explain clinical concepts clearly to a variety of learners.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Comfortable delivering training in a remote or virtual environment.
Organized, dependable, and able to manage multiple training priorities.
Familiarity with documentation standards, policy education, quality initiatives, and competency support.
Experience creating training materials, presentations, learning guides, or educational resources helpful.
Preferred Experience
Prior experience as a Nursing Instructor, Nurse Educator, Clinical Educator, Preceptor, Charge Nurse, Clinical Lead, or Staff Development Nurse.
Experience supporting new hire orientation or continuing education programs.
Familiarity with learning management systems, virtual meeting tools, or online training platforms.
Coursework or certification in nursing education, curriculum development, or adult learning helpful but not required.
National League for Nursing Certified Nurse Educator credential is a plus.

The Nursing Instructor will deliver education virtually, create digital learning materials, participate in online meetings, and support clinical teams through remote training programs. Candidates should be comfortable using common virtual communication and productivity tools.

Compensation

Salary Range: $120,000–$140,000 annually, depending on experience, education, licensure, and qualifications.
