Major Food Group is seeking an experienced, service-driven, and highly professional **Restaurant Manager** to join the team at **Contessa Miami**. ## Key Responsibilities

* Support the General Manager in overseeing day-to-day restaurant operations.
* Help maintain high service standards consistent with Major Food Group and Contessa Miami expectations.
* Lead, coach, and support front-of-house staff during service.
* Coordinate daily staffing, floor coverage, shift assignments, breaks, and service flow.
* Assist with employee scheduling to ensure appropriate coverage for lunch, dinner, private events, and peak service periods.
* Monitor guest experience throughout service and address concerns quickly, professionally, and thoughtfully.
* Ensure guests receive attentive, polished, and knowledgeable hospitality from arrival through departure.
* Help train staff on service standards, restaurant policies, menu knowledge, wine and beverage service, guest interaction, and hospitality expectations.
* Support pre-shift meetings, service briefings, staff communication, and daily operational updates.
* Ensure company policies, procedures, safety standards, and service protocols are upheld.
* Maintain a clean, organized, and guest-ready dining room, bar, host stand, service stations, and other front-of-house areas.
* Partner with kitchen leadership, bar teams, hosts, servers, bussers, runners, and support staff to ensure smooth coordination between departments.
* Monitor reservations, table turns, guest pacing, wait times, and overall dining room efficiency.
* Assist with opening and closing duties, cash handling oversight, sales reporting, and shift documentation as needed.
* Help manage inventory, supplies, uniforms, service tools, menus, and other operational materials.
* Address staff performance issues, service gaps, attendance concerns, or guest feedback in a timely and professional manner.
* Support private dining, special events, VIP guests, and high-volume service periods.
* Identify opportunities to improve service execution, team performance, guest satisfaction, and operational consistency.
* Represent the restaurant with professionalism, hospitality, and a strong commitment to excellence.

## Required Qualifications

* Prior restaurant management or supervisory experience in a full-service dining environment.
* Experience working in upscale, fine dining, luxury hospitality, high-volume restaurant, or premium service settings.
* Strong understanding of front-of-house restaurant operations.
* Excellent guest service skills and ability to create a warm, polished, and professional dining experience.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach, motivate, and support restaurant staff.
* Ability to manage service flow, staffing needs, guest concerns, and operational priorities in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to uphold company policies, service standards, safety expectations, and hospitality procedures.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to consistency.
* Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and flexible schedules based on restaurant needs.

## Preferred Qualifications

* Experience managing in a high-profile, chef-driven, luxury, or destination restaurant.
* Familiarity with reservation systems, POS systems, scheduling tools, and restaurant reporting platforms.
* Experience with staff training, service standards development, guest recovery, and performance coaching.
* Knowledge of food, wine, cocktails, menu presentation, and elevated service techniques.
* Experience supporting private events, VIP service, large parties, or high-volume dining rooms.
* Food safety or alcohol service certification, depending on local requirements.
* Bilingual communication skills are a plus, depending on guest and team needs.
